Must See Vegas Attractions

Posted by: Carrie  /  Category: Vegas Attractions

Most go to Vegas for the gambling, that’s a fact but there are so many other things to do in Sin City that don’t require you losing your shirt (unless you want to of course but that’s for another time and another blog).

Here is our list of the must sees:

The Bellagio Fountains

fountains

Set on an 8-acre lake situated right in front of the Bellagio, this water show is a beautiful thing to see. Set to lights and music, each performance is unique and will mesmerize audiences young and old. Best of all…….it’s totally free!

Eiffel Tower at Paris

eiffel_tower280x390

460 feet above the Las Vegas strip, the Eiffel Tower located at Paris is probably one of the most romantic spots in all of Vegas. The breathtaking view is worth the price of admission if you have never seen it before as it provides a full 360 degree view of all aspects of the strip. It’s also a fantastic place to watch the Bellagio fountain show.

Open daily, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m., weather permitting.

Cost: $10 for adults; $7 for seniors 65 and older and children 6-12; free for children younger than 5. Family packages are available for $30 from 9:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (two adults and two children). From 7:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m., admission is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and children.

The Fremont Street Experience

fremont2

Located in historic downtown Las Vegas on the street that started it all, the Fremont Street Experience is probably one of the best free things to do in Vegas. With the overhead canopy of 12 million lights, each show lasts roughly 10 minutes and is a sight to see. Not only do they have the famous canopy of lights show, there are also plenty of casinos to visit that just might give you a feel of old time Vegas. Loose slots, loads of restaurants and a show that cannot be missed. What more could you want?

Sirens of TI

ti-sirens

Sexy sirens and a band of renegade pirates. Sound like fun? Well it is! Another one of the free shows on the strip, TI Sirens is located in front of Treasure Island and is an entertaining show that features music, dancing and seduction. Get there a few minutes early to get a decent view or you might just have to settle for watching from behind a crowd. Shown nightly at 7:00, 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30.

Volcano Eruption at The Mirage

Volcano

Erupting nightly every hour on the hour from 8pm until midnight, this Vegas strip attraction has become one of the most popular attractions on the strip and it has just gotten better thanks to a new $25 million dollar redesign that was just unvieled to the public in December 2008. With help from WET (the company responsible for The Fountains at Bellagio), the newly designed volcano now features an all new water show, smoke and fire effects and massive fireballs shooting 12 feet in the air. It is definitely a must see even if you’ve seen it before because with the new design and new show it will be a brand new attraction for you!

Well that is all we have for now in the “Best Things To Do In Vegas When You’re Not Gambling” section. Check back soon because we will have a whole new group of non-gambling fun for you to check out!
